Meet Mexico Road Show 2025 in Dallas and Houston: Mexico reinforces its international tourism promotion

From September 9 to 13, the cities of Dallas and Houston, Texas, were the scene of the second stage of the Meet Mexico Road Show 2025, initiative of CREATURISM which seeks to position Mexico as a world-class tourist destination.

In this edition, more than 191 specialist buyers, tour operators, airlines, wholesale operators and representatives of tourism associations met to learn first-hand about diversity of the Mexican tourist offer, exploring opportunities for collaboration that promote the arrival of more international visitors to the country.

According to a statement from CREATURISM, Mexico consolidates itself as the Second most visited country in America, only behind the United States. International tourism provides the 9% of the national Gross Domestic Product and more than 60% of foreign visitors come from North America, mainly from the United States and Canada, generating a economic impact of more than 15 billion dollars every year.

El Meet Mexico Road Show focuses on strengthening ties with the main source markets, promoting destinations, products and experiences that reinforce Mexico's competitiveness as a tourist destination of excellence.

Chicago and Toronto Tour

The first leg of the tour, which took place in August in Chicago and Toronto, brought together more than 230 representatives of the sector, including high-profile companies such as Apple Leisure, American Airlines, United Airlines and Sunwing Vacation Group. This success reinforces positive expectations for the second stop in Texas.

During 2024, Dallas accounted for 13.81% and Houston 14.48% of direct flights from the United States to Mexico, representing close to the 30% of the total air supply from that country.

“After the enthusiasm shown by buyers during our first tour in Chicago and Toronto, we are sure that the participation of Mexican exhibitors now in Dallas and Houston will be just as successful and will contribute significantly to the international promotion of Mexico towards the celebration of the 50th Tianguis Turística in 2026, in Acapulco, Guerrero”, he pointed out Rodrigo Hurtado, Chief Operating Officer of CREATURISMO.

El Meet Mexico Road Show 2025 forms part of a comprehensive tourism promotion strategy focused on key international markets. After visiting Dallas and Houston, the tour will continue in San Francisco and Los Angeles from October 7 to 11, and later in Montreal and New York from November 10 to 14, consolidating Mexico as a competitive and diverse destination in the face of the main players in the global tourism industry.
