As it is a binational event, which shares headquarters with the United States, the Tianguis Tourism 2025 becomes an opportunity for Campeche to position the destination with North American tourism.
Mauricio Arceo Piña, Campeche's tourism secretary, commented in an exclusive interview with El Momento Yucatán that they will take advantage of the event to attract more tourists from the neighboring country.
“This is the first time that it has been a binational market, so the North American market, which is very important for the whole country, has not arrived so much in Campeche, so here we have the opportunity to search for different segments, different niches that we are not used to having in Campeche and that is something that will make a difference due to the location and being binational we hope that this will be a new opportunity for Campeche”.
To this end, attractions such as the city of Campeche, state security, the Mayan Train, the archaeological site of Calakmul, the beach area and others will be promoted.
Arceo Piña assured that the business sector of the municipality of Carmen has shown interest in attracting more tourism to the entity's sun and beach destinations and these days of the Tianguis Turística there is a good prospect because many appointments have been scheduled to close deals in the area.
“We have a great diversity of products to offer to everyone.”
